Motivational blogs can be very therapeutic. When writing about your own motivational inspiration and sharing it with others you will find it helpful. A blog requires work and dedication to be successful. I find that having to share motivational ideas regularly is very helpful for me.

You can start motivational blogs for zero cost on Blogger, Word press or any of the other free blogging platforms out there. Start with a post or two describing what motivates you. Let your friends and family know and let the word spread from there. If your blog is interesting you will have a readership in no time at all.

What Sort of Motivational Blogs

First find your target audience. Who are you? What are your external motivation factors? Who are the people that are in a similar situation as you? Think about helping them with motivation and self-help. It is amazing how great it can be to help others. Through helping others find motivation you may find your own motivation.

Check other motivational bloggers. See what other successful blogs are doing and use it for ideas. Don’t just copy them, use them for inspiration. Feel free to ask them for tips on starting your blog. Many bloggers will be helpful to someone new at this. This will also help you make some connections.
Once your blog is up and going, start communicating and networking with other bloggers in your niche. If you read a motivational blog post that you find interesting write a post about it with a link back to the original. Networking is an integral part of any sort of blogging.

Your motivational blog can also include inspirational videos. Check YouTube or other video sharing sites for those videos that really help your motivation. Embed them in your blog posts and tell people why they motivate you. Encourage you readers to share what they think of the videos.
Motivational quotes are also a great way to come up with new post ideas. Find the quotes that motivate you and once again share with your readers why these quotes motivate you.

These are just a few ideas to help you find motivation to post. Others include music; we all have those songs that we can listen to that gets the motivational juices flowing. Motivational stories, those great little memories that get us through the tough times. If you are willing to share these stories they can really help to motivate your readers.

Once your blog has a significant readership you could consider monetizing it. There are several ways to make some money from a motivational blog. I am not going into that here, that is not what this blog is about. You can find many resources that will help you to properly earn revenue from your blog.
Don’t let money be your motivator. Remember the real reason you started a motivational blog. Be it to help yourself or help others don’t lose focus.
